journals online

you will be taken directly into the service.
- From off campus: by clicking on the ProQuest
icon on the Library Resource page you will be taken to a
login screen.
To obtain articles:
You
will find that most of the ProQuest databases (or modules)
provide access to the full-text of the articles cited. You
will often have the option to view the article in either text,
text plus graphics, or page image mode.
You
will need to use Adobe Acrobat Reader for this. If you do not

Acrobat Reader it for free from this site.)
The Religious Periodicals and the ProQuest Psychology Journals databases are
actually collections of periodicals offered online. This means
that all articles cited in these two databases will have a
link to the full-text of the article. If you should come
across a citation without a link to the article, you have
several options for obtaining that article:
- Switch over to the FirstSearch service
and do an Article Title search in the Article First
database and/or the Wilson Select Plus database to see if
that article is available online there.
OR...
- You may request that the Library obtain a
copy of an article you have identified by placing an
Interlibrary Loan request. Interlibrary Loan Request forms
are available in the Information Commons on the 2nd floor
of the Library. Place your request in the basket next to
the forms. Please contact library_ill@hiu.edu
for further information or assistance with Interlibrary
Loan requests.
